SAR BSA Eagle Scout Recognitions

Purpose

The Arlington Chapter SAR recognizes Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scouts:

At local BSA Eagle Scout Court of Honors.
Awards the SAR Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Scholarship to foster the principles of the Boy Scouts of America.

All local BSA Eagle Scout Courts of Honors are eligible for our attendane. Please contact us to schedule our participation.
The SAR Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Scholarship is open to all Eagle Scouts who are currently registered in an active unit and have not reached their 19th birthday during the year of application. The application year is the whole calendar year (1st Jan. to 31st Dec.). The year the Eagle was awarded is not restricted and college plans do not need to be completed in order to receive the cash scholarship.

Our chapter winner will recieve $50 and will advance to compete at the Texas State Society Conference (once the Permission / Release form is completed).
The Texas State Society Conference winners will receive:
- 1st Place – $3,500
- 2nd Place – $750
- 3rd Place – $500
and travel expenses as outlined on the state website. Also the winner will advance to compete at the National Congress.
The National winners will receive:
- 1st Place – $10,000
- 2nd Place – $6,000
- 3rd Place – $4,000
- 4th Place – $2,000
- 5th Place – $1,000
- 6th-10th Place – $200
