The reinterrment memorial ceremony for Patriot Johann Michael Ehler was held in the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso County, on February 22, 2008.  Sponsoring chapter was Col Turner Sharpe Chapter #9.

William Luckey, left, was on hand to see caretakers install a stone marker for his great-great-great grandfather, Johann Michael Ehler, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery Monday.  Luckey was instrumental in recovering the remains of Ehler, a Revolutionary War soldier, and his wife, Mary Magdalena Ehler from their original burial place in Indiana and re-interred in El Paso.

Second Lieutenant Nicholas P. Wolff held a U.S. flag Friday during a burial ceremony for Revolutionary War soldier Johann Michael Ehler Friday at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

Honor Guard at tombstone

An honor guard representing all branches of the military stood behind the grave marker for Johann Michael Ehler Friday at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.  A formal burial ceremony took place for the Revolutionary War veteran whose remains were re-located from Indiana to El Paso.
