Welcome
Greetings Patriots!
Welcome to the website of the Peter Sides Chapter (formerly the Waco Chapter)
of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Each year since we were chartered, we've increased our
membership, as well as our involvement with DAR and other community events.
We support the local ROTC and JROTC organizations and present numerous certificates each Spring.
We honor our forefathers and all those who have fought for our country, and actively recognize
the service provided by our members who have served in the military,
as well as those who provide assistance and support to our country's veterans on an on-going basis.
We decorate the gravesites in the War Veterans section of Rosemound Cemetery with American
flags during the weeks of Memorial Day and Veterans Day. We take part in flag retirement ceremonies
and flag history presentations, as well as educational presentations on topics such as our Constitution
and hymnology during Colonial times. Our Color Guard presents the colors, and we award War Service medals
to veterans within our chapter.
We invite you to join us!
