We've had a great year in 2024 and are looking forward to 2025. In 2024, we increased our membership, as well as our involvement with DAR and other community events. We featured our members Revolutionary War ancestors in Minuteman Moments. We supported the local ROTC and JROTC organizations and presented numerous certificates. We continued to honor our forefathers and all those who have fought for our country. And we actively recognized the service provided by our members who have served in the military, as well as those who provide assistance and support to our country's veterans on an on-going basis.

We decorated the gravesites in the War Veterans section of Rosemound Cemetery with American flags during the weeks of Memorial Day and Veterans Day. We were a part of flag retirement ceremonies and flag history presentations. Our Color Guard presented the colors, awarded a War Service medal, and presented Clint Lynch (Rosemound Cemetery) with certificates of appreciation. This year, we also set up flags atop the monument which honors those veterans.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, we will retrieve the flags that we set out. Then, on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m., we will attend the Elizabeth Gordon Bradley Chapter NSDAR's annual program for Veterans recognition, followed by flag retirement. This year, it is being held at VFW Post 6008, 725 Sun Valley Blvd., Hewitt, TX 76643.

We invite you to join us!
