MINUTES OF THE CHAPTER MEETING on September 27, 2004

Independence Chapter met in the Bell Ranch Steak House,in the University Hilton Hotel, 801 University Drive in College Station at 11:00 a. m. on September 27, 2004 President Eugene Cook presiding.

President Cook led the flag pledges. The following compatriots and visitors were present: Eugene Cook, Sondra Cook, James Boone, Charles Miller, Rose Mary Miller, Carl Henry, Frances Henry, Jim Tom House, Lydia House, Elton Lacey, Bonnie Lacey.

BUSINESS

Vice President Lacey presented a very interesting talk about the history of the SAR. The secretary stated that minutes had been transmitted by e-mail. He also stated that the biographical data sheets had been mailed to every member, and he was awaiting their return so that they could be mailed to the State Society.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The following schedule for future chapter meetings was adopted: October 25, 2004, 11:00 a. m., and the combination November and December meeting will be held at the home of President Eugene and Sondra Cook on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 11:00 a. m. It will be in the form of a Christmas Party.
